Spidey, Yes I am sure I can bring some door prizes with me such as shirts and such and maybe something a bit more significant. Might be best for you and I to discuss this offline so can you either call me at 303-702-1600 or e-mail me at sales@nrhsperformance.com. If we are coming with a travel trailer is there any kind of reservations we need to make for the actual event? How big is the parking lot at the resort you are using? Do they have room to park a 30ft trailer? |

I just had two wisdom teeth out so I am hopped up on Vicoden right now. I will try to shoot an email to you on Monday. The only reservation needed is in the first post for the hotel. I think there maybe room as the hotel is in the lot of a casino, But you may want to call and ask. Blues, thanks for the footwork. I was looking there too but was unsure of the size. |

Spidermans wisdom teeth on a key chain as door prizes!!! Well, he is doing this on a budget so why not. Joke of the day: The tooth brush was invented in West Virginia, if it was invented anywhere else it would have been called a teeth brush. |

Here's a good spot for the question (not to derail the thread).... at the S2 Roundup, or maybe Texas, did someone have a black S2? |

My best friend is celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary that weekend. I'm very happy for him and his beautiful wife but a bit frustrated that I'm facing 0 for 3 on S2 gatherings. Saturday eve will have to be spent in Ohio, but as I've dwelled on this I can't see not showing up for at least a part of Christmas in July! I'll be looking for a place to stay as well for Thursday/Friday nights. Any suggestions? |

I may or may not have a spare bed. Not sure if Carl's going to be able to make it. He's doing Calc III for summer semester, the timing may not work out. Brad |

and frank, it looks as though if you take the route your thinking about you will literally go right by me. within a block if its working hours and within about 10 miles if its not. if i dont make this trip, i expect a visit from anyone swinging through! and there is always an extra bed or a free meal, as well as any tools needed. |

Tim, I may take you up on your most generous offer. I am still not cleared hot for this trip yet. A lot depends on the doc visit next week. Some days I know I can make it but there are some days I know I cannot. Your home would give me a good goal and all day ride to shoot for and I think Lynn would feel good about me staying with you vice some campground. When you get the chance shoot me your address's so I can take a look at the route. Frank |

Tim, it is about 770 miles door to door. That may be a bit much for me but we will see. I made my room reservation for 15 check in and I will be checking out on the 17 (or I may stay another day). I want to go to Duluth MN to get fitted for some gear at Aerostich before heading home. I got a room with two beds so will be looking to split the cost. |

that would put you at about my longest day on a bike. my 12r none the less. but of course most of that was shall we say, at considerably above the speed limit. so hours wise it wasnt as long as it should have been. then another 600ish from here. well that would make for a long day, but think of how much closer you will be then! |

My longest day was 950 miles on a Sporty, all Interstate. It wrecked me. I did 800 miles on my Eglide and did not feel great after that either. Homecoming 2009 I think it was between 550 and 600 on the Uly. Not great but not bad and after a good nights sleep at Buellhuskers house in Columbus NE. We rode the rest of the 600 miles to East Troy on the back roads and I felt a lot better following someone for some reason. I always try to go as far as I can the first day to get the hard stuff out of the way and try to enjoy the rest of the ride a little more. I will have a tracking system on the bike this time (so Lynn can keep tabs on me). I got it together today and tested it in the driveway. We will see how it works tomorrow on the way to work. There will be periods of no coverage in Eastern CO and Western NE. The link will be http://aprs.fi/K0JQZ-10 Anyone can check my progress and I will try it on the way to work tomorrow if anyone is interested. I may go get gas in a few minutes just to check it. K0JQZ (K zero JQZ) being my callsign and the -10 denotes motorcycle and will show up as an icon. It is on the bike temporarily at this time but I will make a better attachment for the AZ trip in a few weeks. Yeah, I'm a geek but unlike SPOT and others it is free. After more than 30 years I am always finding new areas of Amateur Radio to explore. If anyone clicks on the link you will see you have options to track me or to go to street view ect. Also you will see date and time when the APRS unit was acquired and reported and a second time when I stopped transmitting. The time is in zulu time. It will also indicate speed and direction. On the map itself you will see other icons for weather stations, digipeaters (stations that repeat the weak signals) and ones that have Internet connections that transfer the info to the APRS web site. Pretty neat technology actually and I have only scratched the surface of it so far. |

Wow! I think I logged in about the time you were leaving the drive. I assumed you were home, poked a bit, and then a view of an intersection popped up! About 20 secs later another view popped up showing that you were at 22 mph heading down a long straightaway. I checked a few times but it must have lost the link. I could see where it would come in handy! |
