Spidey, nice, but not even close! My photo above is a close-up taken the other night from one of my last remaining large-format S2 brochures. I was three margaritas deep at the time (Denise is a great bar-babe!), and needed a quick photo to support Alex's auction for U4euh on the Quick Board. It was late, I had no natural light to work with, so I set the brochure on the top of the stove, flipped on the twin-halogen range hood lights, then zoomed in tight on the bike, held an LED flashlight in my left hand to add a little Ice White Pearl highlight to the gas tank, and hand-held this photo (all while standing on one leg and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance). I never spilled a drop. Geez, the stuff I do to entertain myself.  I've got three different large-format S2 Thunderbolt brochures remaining in my collection, all pristine. This photo originally appeared on the inside front cover of Cycle World mag and, literally, was the deal-maker in me buying my '96 S2, the infamous BLURR. Yeah, I know, that's way more info than ya needed to know, but the coffee is kicking in and I felt like spinnin' a yarn. Thanks for the pic. Got more?!? FB | ||

Mine was done durring an over cast day with only natural light of a real S2 with a plastic toy camera with a plastic lens :P Here is one with a 1954 Brownie Hawkeye Box camera, natural light. Kodak Tmax film...  | ||

Spidey, this is a photo of a photo of a photo (seriously, and I promise I haven't been in the sauce yet today):  Me 'n Jeremy had to ride down about a block of Santa Cruz sidewalk to get this shot, and he was near-frozen with fear that the SCPD was gonna show up and haul our Hooligan asses to the hoosegow. "Dude, no worries, I'm Ferris Bueller, remember?" (In Jeremy's defense, I hadn't been FB very long at that point, but he'd soon learn that coloring well outside the lines was to be expected and embraced in our travels. Yes, as always, it's all Court's fault...) I've got the original photo in a box somewhere, along with prolly 8,417,102 other images from the PacBOG days. Someday soon I'm gonna get a scanner and start postin' this stuff up. Be afraid. Be very afraid. | ||
