I'm having a hard time believing that parting out a complete, undamaged S2 makes sense from even a financial perspective. What does the motor and tranny really bring: $1,500? Wheels $400 . . . bodywork $300 . . . seat $50 . . . makes $2,250. A decent bike like this would probably bring $2,750 complete, meaning the owner has to make another $500 in the remaining parts to break even. But even if he does, he has to deal with disassembly, auctions or ads, packing, shipping, etc, so where's the motivation coming from? |

He's not selling the frame or engine. I wonder if he realizes that it is a stock sportster motor? Seems a poor choice for a chopper build. |
