I'm trying to replace my rear master. It won't bleed after a new line replacement. It's a Brembo and I'm looking for a replacement. It's an obsolete part and American Sport Bike doesn't have a rebuild kit or replacement source. |

That is common. They can be hard to bleed up in that situation. for some reason motorcycle master cylinders don't like to pass fluid into an empty line. Try filling the system backwards through the bleeder valve, into the caliper, up the line, into the M/C. I use a section of rubber vacuum line you can get at any Auto parts store. For pressure, I usually use a hand pump style oil can I bought for this dedicated use at Walmart. I have also used something that looks like large plastic syringe. I have done this dozens of times. I know you may find it hard to believe, but there is nothing wrong with your M/C. Good luck, Steve. Also as you know, brake fluid, if you are using dot3 or 4 eats paint. I cover all painted surfaces with plastic bags for protection just in case. Dot 5 is not harmful to paint. Good luck. Steve |

start with maru's idea. also, theres room above the line that gets an air bubble when bleeding and it wont bleed right, i was told to turn it upside down and bleed it with a hand held bleeder to release that air pocket... were gonna tackle it soon on kublaks x1, if successful, ill post results. |

A vacume pump is what i used to do mine. i had the same issue at first but a pump pulls it so you can get things back to normal |

I have speed bleeders installed on the caliper so I can't use the back bleed with the syringe. I'm sure it just needs to be primed properly. Anyway a like year Ducati Monster has the same master. Ebay $60 new. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks, |
