Tony, it is ok to make reservations now with the discounted price correct? What is the drop dead date on room reservations? Rex, lets ride up to Brad's house and drag him out. I want to ride there, relax for a few days and ride back. This might be my "I'm BACK ride". Shane, sending you an email. Frank |

You coulda made reservations months ago for the Hotel. I wasn't able and still haven't been able to contact anyone at the local campgrounds for a discount. But from their tone they do not seem too interested in helping... If you run into any issues with the hotel let me know and I will call and get things re-upped... |

I am still hoping to be able to ride to the Gathering. I did less than 20 miles on the S2 (number 35) and about 10 miles on Lynn's XB and had a lot of pain. However, since I started treatment I feel better everyday and the pills I take every morning are not upsetting my stomach and I will find out how my liver likes it early next month (and all this time I thought I left my Liver in Korea). I have high hopes. I get new glasses next week and hope the treatment does not mess up my vision anymore. I just need to gain some assweight (I am down to 148 pounds and lost at least 15 percent muscle mass) and get some seat time. No junk in the trunk so to speak. I am going to be ok. The timing covers are in Shane's very capable hands so the wheels are in motion for the best Gathering ever. Tony, if you need anything let me know or just post up. Frank |

Other than the date an title, is the timing cover logo the same from year to year? |

Yes. The layout and font is keyed to the original timing covers. I could do a reverse and create black on chrome instead of chrome on black, but generally speaking, the chrome lettering on black is easier to read and generally looks cooler. |

It is fine how it is. I was gonna have someone else come up with a design if needed LOL If it ain't broke... |

I thought we talked about it at Homecoming or in email Tony. At least that is what I remember so if I jumped the gun I am sure it is not too late. It, as everything with this event, is up to you. Is it to early to start a roll call? |

I say it is not too late but that is really Shane's call. I am just a Gathering Attendee. Anyone hear from EButch lately??? |

I like continuity. Sure, I could have done a mountain range the first year, and a pair of cowboy boots dancing last year, and a christmas tree this year. But this is a 3.5 inch circle and as far as I am concerned it has to have the s2 swoosh, the event name, the local event name, the location, and the date. And be able to be read at shin height on the side of a bike. So, here are four variations, mostly because the title and location have a lot of letters and there is more than one way to deal with that. If you have an opinion let me know, otherwise I will use the one I like best. Which one that is I am not saying now. This is a tiff export of my vector graphics (bezier), I have to dumb down the file to upload here. So none of those bitmap jaggies actually exist in the design. I think "D" keeps the same layout as the other ones with the cap letters around the circle and Michigan spelled out but it does take up a lot of space. However, they all look good to me. Moreover, it is not my decision and I am not choosing one or the other, just pointing it out from a historical perspective. (if three years is "historical") |

doh! yes, 2011. I was looking at the date on the first post last year, forgot we were moving on... part of the reason to always have things proofed by another party |

Thanks Jack, much to my co-workers surprise, I eat all the time (5 big meals a day) and snack in between but still dropping weight. The meds were working good but had a bad day today (had to leave work). Doc said it would take a week to get the full effect so lets hope so. Jack, I will be interested to know your route to Christmas MI as the time gets closer. Maybe we can ride a few miles together. Also, see if you can drag Rex along. Frank |

Shane, I laughed out loud. I noticed your amazing powers of observation (sounds like a song by PF) during the first Gathering. BTW: you ruined me. I am always checking the alignment of the decals on my S2s. No two are the same. |

OK folks, I'm in for sure. Calling for room reservation tomorrow. Re the timing cover? I like the continuity of the previous years but they are all cool. Thinking about doing the ferry ride, need to check into that... Brad |

Probably did, I have lots of the brain damage and life has been kinda hectic lately. Continuity is fine. That is why I askedm didn't wanna mess with success LOL. |

Man, I gotta get a bit better with the geography thing.. this is in the Uper! Ferry, I don't need no stinkin ferry! Less than an 8 hour ride if one doesn't stop to smell the rosed. Some great scenery on the way up there, I think I'll be rosed out by the time I get to Christmas. |

Between "I can't get that time off." and "We're expecting two new grandchildren to arrive about that time" and "I may be starting a new career.", Jaci and I will regretfully be sitting this one out. |

Eric, am sorry to hear that. What is the new career? Tell you what, you can stay at home with your new career and Jaci can come to Christmas for a vacation. |

I think I like B, without the capitalized CHRISTMAS and JULY. Any chance on getting a timing cover if I don't make the rally? Frank, You are in my thoughts constantly, I hope you start gaining some weight, and turn this thing around. Brad, glad to see you are going to make the rally. Please bring me along if you can fit me on your bike. (If I recall, you fit into Franks saddlebags just fine. Eric, sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it either. |

Thanks Frank. I can see I have to adjust the hyphen on the date, and a little less space between the 11, but overall I like the balance. I will be ordering up the blanks this next week. |
