I need someone to take over the S2 Owners Registry. I will not be able to keep it up for a while and would like a S2 Enthusiast to take it. Someone that knows Excel, is on the BadWeb, and is knowledgeable about the S2 and S2T. Thanks, Frank |

So, here is the deal. Lynn found a lump. She goes in for more test next week, we are hoping it is just a calcium buildup . I have just been diagnosed with Graves' Disease (better than Cancer which is what they first thought). I am in no fear of dying, at least not now, but it is pretty far along, maybe some of you have noticed my hands shaking and my 30 pound weight loss. Initial treatment may go for as long as two years but regardless I will be spending a lot more time in the hospital. I do not want to think about Lynn's situation. We are planning for the worse and hoping for the best. I am not in a good place right now. I have been fighting with Tricare (my free military insurance that I pay for). I have lost enthusiasm for many things to include Buells and the BadWeb. I am sorry to say that but it is how I feel. I still look at the badweb but my heart is just not in it until I hear some good news about Lynn. I know you all understand that. So, if everyone is ok with the S2 Owners List going away then I guess I am too. I was not going to post this but thought that maybe someone might think that if no one volunteers to do it that I will keep doing it, that is not the case. I DO NOT want pity but I just want someone to hold the list and be responsible and accountable to all S2 Owners. After all, I have put a lot of work into this damn thing. Frank |

Jesus, Frank...if we can do anything, you have our numbers. If nobody else steps up, I can take the list. I don't think I'll do it justice...but I can at least keep it going until you and Lynn are back riding and playing with us all again! And you will be. You're not gonna get rid of us that easily! |

Frank, Sorry to hear the news. Now the short response to that email makes sense (I wondered why you didn't seem like yourself and go on to tell me that you already had 18 of them in the garage). I thought it was odd. Anyways, I hope nothing but the best outcome for Lynn and yourself! I'm with Joe, I'm not S2 guy (maybe someday), but I read you're guys' little slice of heaven over here everyday and he's right...You won't get rid of us easily! Give me a shout if there's anything I can do for y'all! |

I would be happy to help out on the list. I just need to know what you are looking to do with it and what needs to be done. So sorry for multiple health hits. It's frustrating and depressing. Know that you have friends here who support you and are praying for both of you. Keep us apprised of what is going on and what we can do to help. |

Frank- I hope the outcome for Lynn is positive. You don't need a double hit just when you need all your strength. I wish you both the best. I hope you find that tinkering with your bikes helps you to keep a positive outlook on life. I do believe in the power of positive thinking. NSD Shane |

You are a great asset to this group and I wish you both all the best. One day you'll look back and remember this as an experience that made you a stronger person. |

Frank, I'm am really stunned. Good thoughts, prayers and good juju are on the way. There are enough of us here that we will keep up the S2 registry. Re Lynn, I have a good news story for you. A story of good news and hope. My brass director at church just want through the same thing the past month and a half. A routine scanning found a "shadow". There was nothing remotely detectable by touch. To make a long story short, she had a small stage 1 "lump". They removed it, got it all with decent margins. All lymph nodes came back good. Just a few zaps with xray and it will be history. So, the good stories DO happen. My prayer for Lynn is that she has the same results. Please keep us posted. I don't know much about Graves but you can be sure many of us here will do some research so we can support you any way we can. If there is ANYTHING we can do, let us know. Brad |

Thanks all. Scott, Velocity, has the S2 Owners List. Jeremy, can you work with him and determine how to change the blue text at the top of the S2 section with my name and email. Thanks again everyone for the well wishes. Brad, Graves is the easy part. No cure but there is treatment. There are no better Buellers that Old School Buellers. Frank |

Frank, I just met you at Buelltoberfest and felt a kinship right away.I think it's the S2 thing. I have Crohn's disease and both my sister and mother have gone through breast cancer. You have to be strong and take one day at a time. Take a break and the Badweb will be here pulling for you. |

Frank........I never heard of Graves. Just did a bunch of reading and asking medical people. It seems that all the symptoms can be controlled. If you can keep an old S2 running, you can do the same for yourself. I have NO doubts. Lynn........at my age, I have known many women over the years with breast cancer..........the progress made in the past few years is phenomenal. My lady roommate just went through all this last year. All is well now. The same is going to happen to you!!!! Keep Christmas in July in mind........... Ride safe you two...........Jack |

Jeremy, can you work with him and determine how to change the blue text at the top of the S2 section with my name and email. Be happy to. Just need the particulars on what you want on the header. We'll keep the lights on for you until you get back at the helm. |

Crap! As the others, I don't know a thing about Graves. (I'll be studying.) I have a surplus of knowledge about breast cancer, as my Mom had it when I was a pre-teen. She just hit her 85th birthday, so chin up. Jaci also had a go round with it four years ago, just after we met. Not fun but we got through it. She's a great one to talk to about concerns if Lynn needs it. She wore her bald head proudly to educate the young 'uns. Hope Lynn's doesn't come to that but know that our thoughts are with you both. |

Thanks guys. We will be fine. Scared but fine. Jeremy can you get a hold of Velocity (Scott) via pm and ask him what verbiage he wants in the thread. I am sure he has his own ideas and seems to be taking this by the horns. Just what we need. Thanks Frank |

Hahahaha . . I'm gonna keep calling and bugging you . . . this is the time you most need the support system of some of your old Buell buddies. Think of us as emotional gum stuck to your sneaker on a hot day.

You are both in my thoughts. Best to the both of you. Your wisdom has been invaluable over the years that I've been lurking here. Your prowess and dedication is appreciated. Take the time you need and when the time is right, the enthusiasm for hobbies will return. I've been through it with my family and although i couldnt ever understand how You must feel, I can relate. Your work is in good hands. Thank you and I hope all is well. Jason |

Frank and Lynn. Sorry to hear about this, but our prayers are with you. Always feel free to send a note, when you need a prayer for a specific day. No problem in being there for you guys. S2 information. Sounds like you already have someone taking care of the registry. Cool. Keep in mind I have the following domains. BuellS2.com, and also Old School Buell.com I have a google website for Buells2.com, but it is very inactive. If someone wanted to make a more effective website just for S2's I would have no problem, in using the Buells2.com domain, or event Old School Buell, if used for the Buell Enthusiasts. Keeping the registry posted, help lines, photos, etc. Badweb does a good job for this right now, but just a thought. Just got my Second S2 back from Jim Higgins. He took my box of parts I had been collecting and put a bike together for me. White on White body work and frame. Now to get it titled in Arizona. Still a few parts to come up with to make it like I want it to be. Now to start on Bike Number 3. I have the frame, swing arm, bodywork, bars, oil tank, wheels, just won forks on bay. Another phoenix in the works. We will see. Frank and Lynn. Again, keep the faith! You guys are wonderful folks and friends. Keep us in touch. You do not have to do this alone. REX |

Frank and Lynn, I am speechless. Having been diagnosed with Stills Disease many years ago. I know what it's like to all of a sudden go from healthy to diseased. It's not fun. I always thought the shaking was due to being in close proximity to a Marine... Deb and I wish you both the best, and you will be in our prayers. I never thought my little S2 registry would progress to this point, LOL. You really ran with it Frank. I hope Velocity can do as well as you have. I am closer now, if you need anything, anything at all, feel free to ask. I am just down the road... |

Bart, Jarheads do not scare me, you have a safe trip to AZ. I am sure Scott is going to do great, Like a wise man told me, it is difficult to keep a high level of enthusiasm and it should be passed on from time to time. Rex, thanks for your well wishes and Lynn and I consider you a good friend. Jason, wow, thanks for those words, they touched me. Tim, I will know when I am better when I do an Iron Butt on the S2T. You are an inspiration. Chris, thank you, we will. Jack, Butch and Eric, you three are some of the best Buellers around, thank you. Buellish, Mike, thanks, you know I felt the same way. Instant friends just add S2. I know you were not feeling well but am real glad you showed up and hung around. It was great seeing you and examining a bit of Buell history that was on your bike. I know you know what I am talking about. I had never seen that before. I never did followup on that but will some day. It got me curious for sure. You can always tell S2 riders, when Robert rolled in we both stopped and looked as he rode by us on his S2. Looking back that was very funny. Now, the good news. Lynn had calcium build ups so not Cancer. She will have to adjust some medication that she takes but it was a big relief for sure. Plan for the worse and hop for the best is what my Dad always told me, it works. Frank S2 Enthusiast |
