I was thinking about hooking up a shift light and I was wondering if anyone knew where to hook it up to. Do I needing that supposed to go on a 1 or 2 cylinder or can I get one that goes on a 4, 6, or 8. Any suggestions would help |

I've been running one of these on my S3 for 4 or 5 seasons now. I attached it right to the tach. Raptor Shift light |

I've been running one on my S3 for a while too. Dynatek unit, works PERFECT SUPER easy to wire up - wired it right to the stock tach Can get the unit through Pingel as well as others (though I prefer pingel for their drag support) |

Way back when there were only TACHOMETERS, you set the face of the TACH so the shift RPM was straight up as you looked over the tach and down the track down ... This way your peripheral vision saw the tach needle go straight up you shifted ... Now with the SHIFT LIGHT, the same applies if you'll have not thought of this yet ... You also want to shift a little early due to your reflex time(everybodys reflex time is not the same) so you do not hit the rev limiter ... |

Get one for 2 cylinders. A 4 cylinder one would have to have a 14,000rpm setting if you wanted to have the light come on at 7000 on a twin. |
