Maybe I'm just picky, but I don't really care for the XBS lights/screen combo on a tuber. However, I think this setup would look sick on an S1.

Nothing wrong with the stock S1 headlight, though, IMHO. I kind of like seeing the road at night - something I can't do very well on my XB, even with both beams burning. |

nice looking setup, and that's coming from a guy who has never liked dual headlights. I still wouldn't put it on any tuber though. Tubers, especially the S1 and X1, pull off kind of a classic "muscle bike" look that depends on that big single headlight being out front. I guess if the goal is purely functional and those dual headlights put out then that's fine. I see the XB lineup as the practical bikes though. Any tuber I own will have to maintain the aggressive muscular character they came with from the factory. |

Yeah, I like the single headlight as well, but I find myself more and more into radical tuber than the classic streetfighter. I'm getting an S1 next year (hopefully one in particular this Spring), and once I decide the final color combo I'm looking for I'll probably add this setup. |

I like the look of the single locomotive lamp. It is classic |

I like the single large round headlight on my M2. It now has a DDI 55 watt HID that is really bright. If I was going to change it, I would want a larger round single light. I don't know if a larger round light even exists but that might be interesting, especially with the HID set-up. |

dzve - if im not mistaken the Buell light (also used by Ducati) is the largest on a bike. Is there a larger light available? Maybe, not sure, but if so it probably isnt much larger than the stocker. as for the original pic - is that a 'nose' on the bike? looks like a glossy black piece sticking out between the two lights, under them |

Lol, it does look like that, but it is a wrapped wiring harness. |

One nice thing too is that both lights are DOT and each have High/Low beam. |

Is that a Triumph Street Triple? If so, I kind of like the OEM set up with the old school chrome housing. That might be another option as the double headlights go and may go better with the Tuber overall style. |

I don't like that at all. Rather have the single round than that and I have XB lights and flyscreen. nate |

Maybe two M-2 round headlights? That would definitely light the way. Might look good or might look awful but I can't see the headlights when I am riding the bike and appearance is not as important to me as maximum illumination. |

I have seen and considered dual 5 3/4" lights before... On the right bike they con look really cool too. I guess just different strokes for different folks. |

Nah, sorry can't say I'm a fan of your pictured dual headlight. The stock XB's at least look well put together and tidy. I would go oem XB over those. Of course when I do that sort of headlight set up I'll probably do something like this, much meaner and tricker.

That's one cool looking bike... What is that filter looking thingy on the left side? Breather filter? Could you also post a couple of side view pictures from the beast? Thanks. |

Awwww. Too bad she's so low. Nice bike. I would get elevator boots and fix the ride. At least it's an easy fix. Lets see more pics of throttle and switches. Nice. |

to me the dual headlights where the fairing or what ever you call it rap around or sink in look like they do not belong. they look like they were something some one fabricated (which they are). I donno they just look out of place. I kinda like the first picture though it looks like it could come stock on a bike or something. |

You know, the more I look at this, I think it's the flyscreen I like the most. The stock S1/X1/M2 and XB flyscreens just look too big to me. I think this one cut away and fit on a single 7" H/L would look really good as well. |

The throttle is a dirtbike set up from joker machine with custom cables. The tank was made by Evan Wilcox. It's lowered for drag racing not because I can't reach the ground.... The speedo in that pic is a dakota digital, I no longer have that on the bike. Kosmo is on it now!

hey Illeagle, good to hear from you after long time... you bike is always a pleasure to admire! I hope to cross you this coming year in Daytona, I'm planning to go with my XB again and my S1, which is in need just of the paint job at this point, after I finally came up with a wonderful custom setup for the steering damper. let me know if you will decide to go, it'd be nice to meet you in person and can't wait to see that beauty! |
