Hi guys. I am including a few pics of my S1 project bike. I bought the bike two years ago and this is the current setup. Steve

The engine has Axtell Iron Cylinders, S&S special application Crank, Carrillo rods, SE 575 cams, bla bla bla. Penski shock, huge improvement, Corbin seat, CRG mirrors and levers. I was able to get a frame brace from a woman from this forum, a very nice product. i was able to get a new set of wheels and a new front rotor from the Buell Dealer in Minnesota for incredibly short money. Many of the bits and pieces came from American sportbike. NRHS supplied most of the engine parts. Aaron Wilson made a special backing plate to allow the Hurricane filter to be mounted to my PSI carb. Much of what i know about Buell's was learned while lurking this forum for the last two years. Steve |

A) that carb is quite huge... B) I didn't even notice that frame brace. How does that do in transmitting(or less likely, dampening...) vibrations? |

Do you make believers out of the METRIC BIKE RIDERS ??? You do tell them it is STOCK ??? |

I tell them it is mostly stock. The Frame brace does not seem to affect vibration one way or the other as does the big engine. It does seem to tie the back with the front better. It is a worthwhile addition for the early bikes that don't have the welded in brace. The carb is large for sure. It is a Genisis Big air. It is close to my knee but I don't have to move my leg to miss it. They will not fit inside the frame rail like the standard carb but i wanted to run more manifold length anyway so i did not care. |

Th long intake track gives you more grunt at low end which make low end turn ons better ... A double air cleaner cartage will let the engine suck more air ... |

Beautiful bike! Makes me jealous. Quick question, does the Penske shock require the reservoir to be mounted different than stock on tubers? |

Yes the res on the Penski is at the end of a much longer line and must be mounted in a different position. The bars do look lower than stock in the pics, but they are stock. I am not a huge fan of the stock bars. id prefer them a tad narrower and an inch or two lower. |

Yes Lafayette, the long intake was to allow the thing to be a stump puller right off the bottom and it is. Steve |
