I wanted to put out the feelers on a project I started, but now realized I won’t get to finish. I am interested in letting this go as a package deal as I really don’t want to go through the hassle of splitting it up. I purchased a 98 S3T a few years back out of Florida. The engine had been torn down due to a broken motor mount bolt. I purchased it in this condition with the idea that I was going to turn it into a custom S1. I was inspired by Joesbuell project I had found in the OldSchool sections (http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/224086.html). Currently, I had the head helicoiled and started to tear down the bike. I cut off the rear passenger peg tubing and was about to start shaping them in. It was at this point I got distracted… I have since traded out some of the original S3T parts for XB replacements (i.e. Forks and Triple Trees for xb9 forks and triple tree, along with the axle and spacers to run XB wheels) I have sold other parts of the S3T such as the Corbin seat and side bags, but for the most part the S3T is a all there. I purchased a rear tail section and plastic from an S1 that I was going to use to replace the S3T tail section and plastic. Basically, if someone finished the welding and shaping of the frame they would have everything they need minus a seat (s1 or s3) to have a complete bike. I am thinking I would like to get $2K obo for the entire project. It does have a clear title and I am open to offers and questions. Here is a link to the pictures of the project... when you click the picture it will pull up the full size image, just click this again and you will see the gallery.

I would like to have it Slowride. A warning though.. I will not keep it a S3 as I need a motor for my chopper project (just kidding) I mean S2 project. My email is f_skinner at yahoo dot com... We can talk about it. I will want to know the condition of the motor. Frank |

98-99 are the best motors (or so I believe, tho YMMV). If Frank takes the motor, I have use for a chassis and all the other bits. Can't pick it up until late October or November. If Frank takes the whole lot, that's okay too. |

Slowride, I saw pictures of the motor on your picture hosting site linked in your profile... That is perfect... Lynn decided my cell phone needed to be washed so it went into the washer yesterday. I am without a home phone until the new one comes in but I can give you my work phone number to talk tomorrow if you like. Frank |
