60 here, bought an S1 new in 96, bought the current 95 S2 five years ago and have put 35,000 miles on it since purchasing from the previous owner and loved everyone of them. Still do a little vintage flattracking from time to time on a BSA B50 also PS, I can`t believe all the kids riding S2`s (Message edited by EdV on August 22, 2010) |

Chuck, that's cool. I get the impression that there aren't a lot of S2 owners here who have had their bikes since new. And to think, you've only posted twice in 10 years! Probably having too much fun out riding. :-) |

Sorry Mr.Fahren I thought my profile was up to date, I usually dont post a lot on badweb but had a friend tell me to post my age with my bike on this section to see the reaction I would receive, and I guess you dont like other Buell riders so I will leave you alone. |

Only 72...........got the S2 about 12 years ago when I was a spry 60. Have had quite a few bikes during and after, but the S2 is still a very warm favorite. Just "something" about it. Kevin.........only "old farts" are allowed to be grouchy. Ride safe.............Jack |

Soon to be 45, and the first bike I ever owned and still do, a '95 S2. Bought her in Nov. '94 @ Hal's. She's Caribbean Candy Blue W/PM wheels, #208. Jeff |

i test-rode the '95 s2 when it first came out, and i loved it, but was underwhelmed w/the power. not that i am a speed freak, but i didn't wanna go backwards, and my '83 honda v45 interceptor was faster. also, i couldn't afford the $12995 entry fee. i bought my used '95 s2 in '98; it set me back $8k, which included fairing lowers & the engine updates to 101hp/84ft-lbs torque. i was still wet behind the ears at 42, which makes me 54 now. i can still do math - YES!!! tho i have purchased two other bikes since, ('78 ducati darmah, in '99, and a motarded '00 suzuki dr650 a month ago), the s2 is a keeper. i'd love to have a more modern duc, but money & space are now an issue, and the s2 stays. so i may let go the darmah; that would also hurt, but i can consider it - no way can i consider letting the s2 go. doug s. |

43.. and have owned 3. The first 2 I restored and sold to other Buell owners. The one that is left is a keeper! She is going through a complete redo. I had hoped to have it done for this past Homecoming, got side tracked! Scott |

I'm 59, been riding mostly H-D since 15 years old. Bought my S-2 new in early 96,(it's a 95, #382). It now has 4,000 miles, never had any of the recalls done, original, as built. Also bought a 96 S-1, was rear ended on the way home. I now have a Ducati 996, and 2 Harley hummers.Only problem, not enough time to ride them... |
