I was looking at the "Old Farts Thread" in the Uly section. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/588435.html?1282330867 I think it would be interesting to see the age of S2 riders. I bet they are all over the place. I am 48. What age are you? |

I remember looking for a S2 in 96 upon return from an overseas tour only to find a S1... I test rode the S1 and that was it..... It was the only Buell the dealership had on the floor. I did not see another Buell, outside a dealership, until 2005 when I came to Colorado. Of course I did not spend a lot of time in countries that had Buells.... I cannot remember what year I bought my first S2 but I think I was 2007 after looking for about a year. I am a new comer to S2s.... |

almost 39. Just reread an article which MOTORRAD published due to the Buell closure on the 96 S1. They love the bike, the looks are described "almost italian", the motor works as well as the XR1200 motor which came 10 years later...but they criticize the geometry, the short wheelbase and the steep steering angle. Cornering would always be the problem and why would EB, a former racer himself, not select a more curve friendly geometry? I read this all the time in the German press and it keeps confusing me.... Anyways....still 38 for a couple more days!!! Happy B-Day, Court! |

For once in my life, I'm above average! Oh, and Court, about that Speedo thing, I'd strongly advise you to wear it only at the new pool at el Ranchito del Pinche Chingadero. We're far enough out in the country that you just might get away with it! Sheesh. Kids these days... rt |

I am 10 days shy of 25. I bought my bike at 22. AFAIK I'm the S2 youngest of the S2 owners that post. |
