Just threw an hsr42 on my bike and have it running by operating the slide by hand. Tried to adjust/reconfigure my stock cables to get it to work properly but they wont. I am an experienced mechanic and feel like i must be overlooking something simple. I cant find anything on here of anyone having issues with stock cables. My throttle pull cable seems like it will work fine but the idle (pulling) cable just wont cut it. Input will be greatly appreciated thanks. |

Yup...the stock cables need an adapter to put on the Mikuni. Or you can get cables that have the Mikuni ends on 'em. |

The mikuni instructions tell you which parts need to be KEPT from the stock assembly, and which parts are swapped out with Mikuni stuff. |

I dont have instructions i picked it up at stafford swap meet, i figured it wasnt goin to be the simple "bolt on" that ebay and everyone says. I already found an airfilter adapter and have everythin else all set. Do you guys know where I can get the adapters and what p/n they are. |

Mikuni has a great web site: online installation manual, tuning info, troubleshooting...... http://www.mikuni.com/fs-carburetor.html |
