-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ I'm getting a few calls from people wanting to change the gearing and/or speed sensing on tube frame models. The Australian gearing is very high - I'm told that this was to met noise regulations. From what I can tell from the workshop manual the speed sensor is the same for all countries and so I'm guessing that the correction is done in the speedo. After market speed calibrators are available but the ones I've seen ar all pretty pricey. So does anyone know how you correct the speed sensing if youve changed the secondary gearing? |

I just used a s/h USA speedo I got off eBay, they have both MPH and KPH. I have had it on there for 3 years and never had trouble registering it. |
