Does anyone in the states make one of these for a S1? http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/356.html I like the idea it has a screw on cap. Mine seems to leak a little and generally just makes a mess. They have some other cool stuff too like a 4 piston Brembo brake kit for the rear... |

American Sport Bike still lists them, don't know if they are in stock? http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5550.html banke used to make a kit to add a screw on cap to the factory tank, i have one on the S1W, works good. don't see them on American Sport Bike site any longer??? |

I had one on my S1W (sold it last month). The thing I noticed is the cap sleeve appeared to be glued on. After getting hot... I mean real hot, I could not take the cap off as it slipped. After it sat for a few minutes it was no problem... Not s deal breaker by any means.. I would buy another if I had a S1... |

Frank, are you talking about the Banke screw on cap, or the aluminium tank? I have the Banke cap on my S3 and it is basically glued into the tank, but I haven't had any issues with mine. |

my bike has a screw on cap, dont know if its stock its a 98 s1w... but it came loose or something and was spinning, i used some hysol and make it stick, now it should never spin again haha. |
