Hi havent got an owners or workshop manual for my 2000 model M2 and wanted to find out the stock fork and shock settings if anyone knows please , cheers Mark

heres the settings according to my book

Forks
full damping minus 1 turn
rear shock
/M2 , rebound (front adjuster) minus 1.5 turn
compression (rear adjuster), minus 2.25 turns.

Ive been going to follow your instructions to put a short tail on mine but im a bit mechanically challenged, in other words i everything i touch but i have a mate whos a boilermaker by trade and hes got all the shit to do it so i just have to convince him to help me.

The way I did it was OK for starters, but I'll
eventually weld tabs on the frame and make up another sub frame and do it properly.
The S1 tail is great unless you want to ride
distances, then its painful.

Bike looks the goods, you should put the american gearing on it, makes it better of the mark.

Its not a seat cowl mate the seats been recovered with yellow at the back , I didnt do that the guy who owned it before me did , I cant make up my mind whether I like it or not I was thinking of dying it all black again .

no nothing on the back the guy who had it before me drilled holes in it to put a small windscreen on it which i didnt like the look of so i took it off and was going to fill the holes and repaint it but i saw those plugs at an auto shop and put them in and they looked ok so i left it at that
