You need the idle adjustment knob so that you can turn the idle up and down as you please. Mine has always idled higher when hot. | ||

They always do. Warm it up - go for a good ride - and THEN set your idle to the 1000 spec. And make sure your choke is disengaging all the way when you push the knob in. I installed the idle adjust knob setup from an S1, on my S2. All the later tubers had 'em. It's about $15 and gives an on-the-fly idle adjustment - worth every penny. Someone here might be able to source the part number for ya...I got mine so long ago I'd have no idea if I even kept the receipt. | ||
