Hey guys, If anyone has any pics of a 2000 M2 with a chin fairing and newer style shift linkage I would appreciate it. I have all the parts for both but no manual and am a little confused about how exactly they go on. Thanks |

Proper fluid level, synthetic fluid and a properly adjusted primary chain as well as adjusting your linkage to fit your foot go a long way towards improving your shifting. PM me if you'd like any specific photos or info. |

If you have a small foot....the longer X1 lever will give you much better leverage. |

I'm goin to put a chin spoiler on my 99 M2. Do you have a pic of your spoiler and the new linkage installed? |

You'll want the X1 mounting block, or perhaps a bench vice, hack-saw and some files to turn the one piece M2 block into a two piece. Hope this helps. |

Apologies for the previously vague message on Aug 2. I have no idea why I was being such a turd. |

Looks great. It doesnt look too awful bad to make it work.Did you have to modify the spoiler at all? I'd like to find a cover that has the Buell/Cyclone logos on it. Mine just says HD. Thanks for the pic. (Message edited by 2734 on September 02, 2010) |

No problem. No mods to the plastics required at all. I purchased a mounting kit from American Sport Bike and was good to go with all the hardware and the front bracket. Come to think of it Al might be able to order just that two piece mounting block, though I'm not sure if it's available separate from the upgrade shifter kit. As Cyclonecharlie said above the X1 kit has a longer shifter (along with the two piece block). If you have the X1 shifter and a normal sized foot you'll probably want to shorten the shifter a bit, I wear a size 8 and had to. It's not a big deal to remove the shift tab, cut, shape the end a bit with a file then drill and tap a new hole. I was going to put a pegasus logo timing cover on, but couldn't bear to go without the stock cover on it. I like the stock badges, not sure why so many remove them from their bikes. Maybe Ebay and the parts wanted section can help you find the cover, shouldn't be much for a take off part. |

"Nice looking chin spoiler. Where did you get it?" Off a black X1. Here's a thread with several pics of a X1 chin fairing mounted on a S3T. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/633180.html?1305946420 |

That one was given to me by a local Bueller who changed his to carbon fiber. I picked up another from the local dealer as a take off part. Been thinking of listing it in the classifieds but want to switch them first and sell the gifted one. Al at American Sport Bike also has c.f. with mounting kits for a VERY reasonable price. |
