I'm replacing the intake seals on my 98 S1, and I notice the new seals (which came from the previous owner) don't look like the ones I just removed.
The new ones seem to fit, but they lack the little extra lip at the top. Anyone have any insight? |

Yep, they "smoosh" when installed. Lube 'em up before you install 'em, I usually dip my forefinger and thumb in clean oil and run the seal through them first to get it nice and wet. Keeps the seal from bunching up and leaking, and allows the collar to slide evenly into place on top of it. |

Go to Napa and get a tube of Sylglide (sp?). It will last for ever and works great. Seals last longer too. Brad |
