has anyone removed the left side brake caliper mounting point ?if yes how did you go about it and what was the result ???
cant see the point of keeping it as it dos nothing,and i wont ever put a second disk on that side,its just surplus unsprung weight to me,

cut off 2 lugs with hand- or power-saw

grind/file remnants down to leg's surface

sand/polish leg to perfection

maybe you could attach an ipod to that as it would make a good mounting point.

hahah, just kidding, that has always bothered me about the cyclone forks. please post picks if it works out, i'd like to see the results.

I did it when I polished my front fork lowers. I cut mine off with a cutting wheel then sanded the remaining material to look like they were never there. I did not take the forks apart to do this. I wrapped the portion of the fork I wasn't polishing with masking tape to protect it, stuck it in a vice, started sanding and finished with a polishing kit.

Not the best close up pics, but this may help a bit..
