First post for me here but been riding Buells off and on for about ten years. I just picked up a pristine 2000 Cyclone and wanted to put a tach on it (I had an 01 with a tach and really like having one)

How easy is it to add the tach and can anyone tell me exactly what parts I will need. I assume the obvious ones are a tach and a new dash console. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

You might find these instructions helpful. They list all of the part #'s and give a step-by-step.

I found the parts cheap on ebay from St. Pauls HD. They have been blowing out excess stock for awhile now.

I have the basic parts and will be installing when I get some free time.

If you have the kit with installation instructions, it's a piece of cake. If you don't have the instructions, PM me...I think I have mine around somewhere.

Bought the tach from St. Pauls and installed it, too.
Now the only things is, that the speedo has a chrome ring in front, where the tach does not. So if someone has a chrome ring from a broken speedo or something, please let me know. I think the size is the same.

i picked up the dash panel on ebay for $18 shipped so just need the tach now. might be a solution if you are unable to find a kit.

since we are talking about tach, I just discovered the light is burnt out on mine. I wiggled the wires behind the dash not the problem. Has anybody had this problem?
