Got my new style OEM front rotor installed today. It looks great and fits right up. The new torx carrier screws get the same 20-22 ft-lbs as the old style carier(I downloaded a 2000 X1 manual for the torque spec). Did a caliper rebuild and new pads for the new rotor of course.

Al at American Sportbike has these at a discounted price of $199. $20 for the screws. Well worth the $. My bike doesn't sound like I'm dragging a bunch of tin cans anymore.

Did your original rotor bolt together? I've had good luck rebuilding them...if you want it out of your way, drop me a PM : )

It was just going to grace my wall of shame. Along with all the other broken or defective parts. If you want it, maybe we could work out a trade deal. Probably + some cash to you.

I need,
Race style exhaust clamp. My V&H mounting tab doesnt line up on center with the new Y bracket.

Backup showa rear shock.

New, more upright handlebar set up.

Adjustable brake/clutch levers

New foot pegs
