What might cause this? Is it possible the previous owner let all the air or oil out of the shock? I tried turning the one adjuster (rebound?) all the way stiff and no diff. It's like riding oan bouncy toy. |

Will these ebay shocks fit a s1? I did a "s1" search where your link was. There were 34 items but no shocks on there. My second freebee shock from HD could fail at anytime. Penske upgrade will have to wait. |

Nathan, short answer is yes. You need to measure your current shock, with the wheel unweighted for the most accurate # but the gist of it is 14.8" ish is the new stronger front mount and shock, 16.5" ish is the old style. If you can find a new one of either style you'll only have to change the front mount to make it work. Mine felt a lot like a motorized pogo stick when it went bad. Upgrade, repair( rebuild with better valving too), or replace with stock parts from ebay or discounted dealer stock - those are your options in order of cost and ride improvement. |

I do have these two shocks. Am I better off having this white spring AST serviced? If I do, how do I mount the remote resevoir?

AST would be my preference. No idea what it would need and how logistics of working with a Dutch company would be for that. |
