Well I am lookin to experiment with the S2 tail light to do an LED board type tail light but I do not want to destroy a nice new internals for Shites an giggles...

SO if anyone has a spare broken or not so mint, let me know!

I put a Ulysses board in my S2. Fairly non-invasive...





Main board is unchanged, surgically removed from a lens-damaged Ulysses light. The two top cards (3 LED's each) are out of a police-spec Cuda Tri-Optic pursuit light, and are hooked up to the brake wire only via a wig-wag flasher:





That pics shows one side lit; they flash back and forth 5x a second when I'm on the brakes. The whole time I'm on the brakes : )

yeah I was thinkin somethin similar but didnt want to destroy my innards or buy a new one for experimentin...

I'm pretty sure all I did was unbolt the reflector piece from the black housing piece and pull the wires out with it. Drilled a couple holes (easy fix with RTV later) to mount the Uly board and attach the stock lens the stock way (but with longer screws as noted in another thread here, using nylocks and washers so I don't lose another lens).
