I have the Airtech Streamline GP full body fairing for my 2002 M2. I dont like clip ons and the factory bars are too tall for the fairing, anybody have a suggestion? |

I find Ducati Monster bars ideal, fairly wide with a slight leaning forward riding position that I prefer, they do bump against the tank though when moving the bike around in the shed if you are not careful |

I have dirtbike style bars with American Sportbike risers. I think they are called CR hi bars. |

I know I'm a little late, but if those don't work out see if you can find some Crossroads bars. They'll raise you up a couple inches from the clip-ons but still give you an aggressive forward position that's not terrible on the wrists (depending on your seat). X1 probably won't work but the set designed for the S1W or M2 should clear your tank. |

Does anyone have the second set from American Sport Bike on their bike? I have ape arms and find that "spirited" riding results in T-Rex arms with the stock bars. Clearance ok? Looking for something between stock and clip ons. |

Yup, here's a link - fourth post down, nevermind the S1 tail, it is an M2: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/564037.html?1273084659 I suggest carefully threading in the screws before using a wrench and use some anti-sieze or plain old grease on the threads. The mounting holes were off just a hair, enough that I used a file to relieve them for better hardware clearance. (Early on I had to heli-coil one set of threads due to the threads pulling out on the upper triple, not the fault of the Crossroads part but I found the tight fit a little concerning. That's not a part I want to have to replace). -Mike |

Not sure who your gauge question was directed to. The dash and tach on my bike are X1 parts. I have most of the details documented in my profile if you are curious about my mods. I can imagine many seats could be uncomfortable with those bars, depending on the rider's height and build and such. My seat is scooped almost two inches so the weight to my wrists isn't bad, though several of my (shorter) co-workers who've sat on it found it a longish reach. If Guell's Corbin seat was shaped like the XB's seats I can imagine the taller front of the seat was miserable with a lower than stock bar, it could really mash your boys! |
