hello, i have a 2000 M2 and the tank is bubbling any advice on this, i was thinking of sanding the paint off and getting it wraped, would this work, also, there are 4 blinkers on the back has anyone removed the blinkers that stick out and just driven with the blinkers that are flush to the tail? i have replaced the screws th hold on the blinkers 3 times in as many weeks i dont think the lock washers are holding or something i would rather just take em off any advice would be great thanks |

Use nylon lock-nuts and they will stay on. |

+1 on Jim's statement. I had the small flush mounts briefly, I think they looked great but were very hard to see. Removed them out of fear for my own safety and put some small bright flashers on. the X1 signals look nice on M2's also. Paint... is it aftermarket? Haven't heard of many stock paint jobs on 99+ model years bubbling up. I have an e-mail somewhere with the recommended paint methods and products to keep new paint from bubbling up if you are considering repainting I'll forward it to you. |

i took all the blinkers off, front and back. replaced them for blinkers in the handlebars. they stick out far enough and dont shake or rattle. for your tank i think sand them off and repainted and use tanksealer for the inside. |

Edit: after a closer look it is aparent that the tank has been repainted over orginal Red... So do i just sand it as if it was anything else? I Read somewhere on here that the tank sealers dident work on plastic tanks is there a kind of spacific for the plastic tank? and thanks for the tip there on the Nylon Lock Nuts works like a charm (Message edited by Antimatter on April 21, 2010) |
