Sorry--The "main" tubes around the motor, etc... (The large/fattest ones)

Don't Know about the S1 but X1,S3 and M2's main tubes measure 1-1/8".

Cheap Vernier/Dial/Digital calipers only cost $10.00-$15.00.

Oh yeah JIC you need the formula to get the diameter from circumference.
d = c/pi

I thought I remember something about the S1 and S1W frame being a different diameter.

Just remember the frame is Chromoly and has different welding characteristics than mild steel.

I'm not trying to weld anything. Just curious between the difference in tube diameter, if there is any, between a S1 and S1W.
