well my other thread ain't going to well. Messing around with ECMspy i found this map with the CD that came with the cable, and finally figured out how to load it to ECMspy. Does this look like a race map?.

That is the same map I have on my race ECM. Do you have maybe a picture of the original ECM map of a X1? I would like to try the original out but since I have only the race ECM Iam lost. Thanks Marc |

Got images of your spark maps? That was a major change in the X1 Race ECM. |

I meant to mention this earlier but contrary to general belief the front map is richer than the rear. A lot of folks think since the rear gets less (direct) air flow it should be richer than front. Not true. Also in my experience identical front and rear timing maps work better. Of course, in the pictures they are pretty much identical except for the fringe areas. |

Just sent you fuel my maps. Keep in mind that your motor is much more radical and has a lot more appetite for fuel (and air). If I remember right, BuellesticX1 has a set up like yours and spent a good bit of time getting his motor dialed in using ECMSPY. See if he bites. |

Sorry, just looked up your profile and looks like you have the same set up as me. I got you confused with another person who has a a lot of engine mods and was asking similar questions. My mpas are almost identical to Race Maps with the exception of the idle area where I smoothed it out a bit to get a more steady idle. (Message edited by kalali on April 02, 2010) |

Just took the bike for a good thrash(opps i mean law abiding ride), Theres no popping at all...(kinda liked that popping tho.) It has smoothed it out and given it more mid range, theres no hessation @4k like there was before. Now if only it would pull hard past 100mph, in closed road conditions of course. Only one prob is the idle hangs up @3k for a bit before settling down to normal. |
