I need to remove my starter . I was wondering if anyone knew what size the two starter mounting bolts are inside the primary? I need to get a set of ball end hex drivers, I want to get the right size. The book don't say if they are metric or what size they are. I want to have everything lined out before I open her up. Thanks | ||

I sure it was either 5/16" or 1/4", I think it was the larger 5/16". You do want to have a ball-end so you can tilt it a little to clear the clutch gear that is very close to one starter bolt. Mine is a 00' M2, I don't know if they are the same but I would think so. (Message edited by jim2 on March 29, 2010) | ||

They are the same size year to year, just pop the $20 for a full set and be done with it.. You will use most of them anyway. | ||
