The "QUESTION" you ask is, will this ISOLATOR hold up if in the BIG CUBIC INCH H-D DRESSER BIG TWINS ... "IF NOT !!!" Then you should get the H-D ISOLATOR PN 16207-79D !!! This PART NUMBER(PN) will be in the casting of the ISOLATOR and the high case "LETTER" after the -79 tell you what the latest up-date was ... The "D" indicates this is the "FIFTH(5th)" up-date on this part even though it package'ed with a BUELL MOTOR COMPANY(BMC) PART NUMBER which "i" call the "BUELLshitte" Part Numbering System ... |

The -79D is a great replacement for the Buell OEM part, but it does require the hole in the -79D isolator to be reamed a tad larger (1/2"?) in order for the bolt to go through. Also you will not be able to use the "D-Washer". Just use a suitable replacement washer instead. There are rumors that an improved Buell OEM part now exists. But the -79D is a significant improvement over the original design in many different ways so I'd recommend it. |

This is the new kit they were working on before the doors closed L1501.8 According to my buddy who was the test bed for the new isolators. It was better than stock and feels better than a XB... I got to hear about the re-design first hand so go with this kit you will not regret it! |

Spiderman: If you get a hold of one of these "BUELLschitte" Part Number'ed BMC Isolators L1501.8, lets us know what the HARLEY-DAVIDSON PART NUMBER is on the rubber casting ... Bet it is 16207-79D !!! |

Guess what, There isn't. It is a BRAND NEW design. Ground up! For someone who is a 'Buell Fan' you sure do rip on the part number structure a lot... |

Spideman: Must correct you, BUELL fanATIC !!! Using the HARLEY-DAVIDSON PART NUMBER'ing SYSTEM it is easy to tell by PART NUMBERs "WHAT RETRO FITs", when first used, and how many times it was up-dated ... Since you still ride a TUBE FRAME this HARLEY-DAVIDSON PART NUMBER'ing SYSTEM will work for you, example:the rear isolators BUELLschitte Part Number are no longer available from either H-D or any aftermarket source, so what do you do now ... Well you go to the local H-D Dealer and with the Part Number if you happen to know it and you buy yourself some rear isolators !!! This is what "i" talking about !!! "WISDOM FROM AN OLD SCHOOL HARLEY-DAVIDSON PARTS MAN, HARLEY-DAVIDSON UNIVERSITY CLASS OF 1959 !!!" |

I agree the numbering system Buell set up sucks. The hd system not only works great but also is educational at the same time. Where in the hell was the official anouncment of this important remake. Is that channel dead too. |

Ebutch: "i" can see that the supplier is BARRY with their part number(what is that number) ... Some where on the casting there should be a H-D PN, five numbers a dash with two more numbers and a high case letter ... What is that number ??? |

I just read the last sentence butch sorry about that... It comes with a large washer, two new mounting bolts and one large bolt that mounts it to the motor mount. On the older Buells, IE non-knotched frames the iso mounts under the frame. On newer knotched frames it mounts normally. I am sure a dealer type could post a PDF of the instruction kit... |
