Phelan,

Yes tried a force, KT was louder and performed better. Plus, KT's are rarer to find than a force.

The kooks was second best, but the fitment for pre-99 tubers didn't seem right, at least the two headers that I fitted on my 98' thunderbolt

Who makes the KT can? Not familiar with the brand.
Now let me ask a dumb question: So why not just put a straight 2.5" pipe instead of the exhaust altogether?

straight pipes leak a lot of metallic ringing sounds, "tinging", whatever you want to call it. My D&D is just a bombproof glasspack but I like the fact that it neutralizes some of those annoying high pitched frequencies before letting the deep, raspy exhaust note roar from the outlet : )

Any kt owners have a spare baffle that came with it originally? I have a couple of KT's but dont have the original baffles for them. Is there much of a difference in sound with and without the baffle?
