Big difference between correcting someones posts that may contain incorrect information and calling them names and constantly trying to make them look like total morons. Froggy - All my previous screen names are in my Rickie_d profile; and in the D_bag one, the url is my Rickie_d profile. So everyone can plainly see that I am not masquerading behind anything. This could have stopped way up top when I gave a relevant answered to a genuine question that was validated after a bunch of misleading and incomplete BS. If it really bugs you that I have two active profiles that are linked, delete Rickie_D; I like the D_bag profile better, it is more apropos. All this hubbub right when ASSCAR decides it is OK to start bumping, Oh well!!! JR Response is proportionate to frequency, meaning when someone who repeatedly dilutes threads with erroneous and poor advice, the response gets terser. Then when the fragile individual decides to play a game of wits, but reverts to whining when they cannot defend themselves; it is just sad! So you might want to look at trends to put an instance in perspective. However in your case I am not sure what the issue is, as I have never seen you publish anything really worth responding to…until now. Since you do not even appear to dispense bad advice, perhaps you are just feeling compelled to defend those that do! I guess everyone needs a purpose. Maybe if you searched the site for “authors of posts”, by Rickie, for say 4000 days (about 10 years worth), you might get a feel for the kinds of things I am interested in…like solving issues and dispelling myths, not causing and perpetuating them! But then again, maybe you already know that and it just does not sit well with you when things become simple and clear. Who knows, who cares... On a related note, I saw a contribution here recently from a guy that was banned who posted through his wife’s profile. He was wondering (with the demise of Buell) if this board would now go the way of others and become more of a social networking thing “Face Book of Buellers” instead of remaining a technical advisory board with sponsorship. I had mixed feelings about it at the time, but thought if the focus remained on point as a source of credible advice; it just might not become a playground for a bunch of girls trying to scratch their way to the top of the cheerleading squad. I wonder how Will is doing??? Did he go with the PT cruiser injectors that have unknown potential but are comparatively priced to what is known to work? I get it… it’s about more site traffic and you are managing for non-conflict regardless of relevance and accuracy of content. I was wondering how long it would take for the whiners to unite. Maybe we need some additional emoticons to say what we are thinking without saying it, like… “I am NOT with stupid”! A waging finger added to the “the finger” to project a little more oomph or attitude indicating a serious escalation of the normal or big finger. How about one that illustrates “I may sound like a Moron…but trust me, I’m really not; just look at my profile!” There should also be an “Easy Button” somewhere so those that choose can just punch it and repost random preferred responses regardless of applicability. That way they could say the shit they like to say over and over while rack up irrelevant posts even faster without thinking too hard about what is communicated. That would make it even easier for new contributors to come on board; they would not even have to understand a question to ask one. With that said, then no one would give a rat’s ass if the answer was accurate! AHHHH, Nirvana…every body is a winner, perfect! I am thinking we also need some clear visual indicators of these issues, like two color graphs or dashboards next to our little fake names. They could illustrate and measure both the senders intent of information posted and how we feel about what we received…kind of like a dancing graphic equalizer. On the X axis we could have severity or frequency volume and on Y axis would be the various silos of our issues.
