Has anyone replaced their exhaust studs and used cap head bolts instead? What, if any problems would this cause? Are the studs used to help prevent people from over tightening bolts and stripping the holes? The rear bolt by the O2 sensor is nearly impossible to get off and mine need changed while I have the motor out of the bike. |

Too easy to cross thread and strip the aluminum,I have no issue getting to the nuts on the tube frame bikes, just try different brands of socket til you find one that fits easily. We use a 1/4 drive swivel socket on alot of tubers and all the XB's. |

I use a long 1/4" extension and a socket will reach the nuts OK. I have also used 1/2" box end wrench back there from the left side of the bike. Depends which one I find first |

I'm not sure if all of the O2 sensors are in the exact same spot? My O2 sensor makes it impossible to put a box end wrench on it and turn it. I've also tried different extensions with a socket without any luck. |
