I asked a couple of tire questions in the knowledge vault under "Tires". It seems that area isn't getting much traffic or nobody wants to talk about tires. I'm overdue to put my first set of tires on my 2000 M2 and am interested in learning from others. If your bored or just want to talk tires, go look at my questions.

I am a continental guy on my X1. I like the race attack endurance. The road attack was not up to the task for my riding.
The rear road attack wears 3 to 1 vs. 2 to 1 on the race attack model. Also the lean angle on the race attack is smooth and steeper than the road attack making the bike feel very agile and "flickable"
The road attack is a more dull moving\cornering tire but just as grippy as the race attack.

I run Michelin Pilot Road2s on my S2. LOVE 'em. When the S1W and the M2L need new shoes...they're going on.

I have M brand Road2's on my S2t and could not be happier. They last, work in the cold, work in the wet, have great profiles so they roll in nice and neutral. They even have enough grip for a track day. I agree with Rat!

I don't see anyone talk about Contiforce tires...They are very reasonably priced and I've had them (front and rear) on my X1 for about 4K miles with no noticeable sign of wear. Handlingwise I am happy with them but I have no frame of reference since that's the only type of tire I've used. Anyone else uses them? If so, how do they compare to the Road/Sport Attacks?
