I pulled off the stock aircleaner assembly some time ago and have finally gotten sick to death with looking at that ugly air cleaner mount tab that sticks out in the wind. Its my understanding that XM's dont have that tab. My question, is there any thing else other then picking up a used XM mount or spending $250 for a American Sport Bike billet mount? In addition, did the old XM mounts have structural issues? Either way i know i must use "New" bolts. I polish everything polishable when I have it off - including the exhaust, swingarm, shifter, brake pedal, etc.... No it does not take that much time or effort yo keep it shiny. It is North Hampton last summer. As you can see it was foggy and a little cool, so that it why it is empty. I ride A1A several times a week - it is a nice relaxing ride good for clearing my head....
