Not much action in here lately so... Lets see some pics of your favorite aftermarket or one off part. Maybe it's just a modified stock part. Bonus points if it's from another make of bike. Bonus Bonus points if you made it. Negative points if it's a chrome HD cover. |

Both my parts will fix both issues. Where are you from? I may be able to show you how to get this all setup. (Message edited by eboos on December 15, 2009) |

I'm sure someone here has as much as me... Since my bike is apart, I just have photos of them not installed.. PM rear Caliper Revolution 1250 Kit: New Corbin G&L with matching piping: Old style Corbing G&L: This is an older photo from my parents barn. I will eventually, and hopefully resurrect that full Borla exhaust. I don't have pics of it all, but there's Banke Rearsets w/ shifter and brake. Crossroads handlebars. Mikuni 42. CRG Shorty's. New Penske 8300 series. A lot more I didn't list either. SS rear brake line. Aluminum Oil Tank from Metmachex on the way soon, SE .536 Cams coming soon too. Man, I don't know... Oh yeah, I did. But I'm getting a billet one anyways. I just don't know how that mount would hold up...though it looks good. Hey, he asked for favorite aftermarket, LOL.. |

LOL, but most is going to go onto my bike when I finish buying all the parts needed to put it back, lmao. It's a long process when you don't make a lot of money and are in school full time. |

Phelan, How is that caliper bracket fabbed and what material? The last thing you need is a fatigue frature in the brake caliper mount. I also suspect hard braking also puts a huge bending moment on there... but hey, If it works, it works.. right? |

Oh and Ross I am not speaking down upon your mod at all. Just concerned about your safety! I say all this from personal experience. I thought it would be OK to lower my S2 that had the external spring setup by installing longer threaded rods. I used standard galvenized threaded rod from sears and this worked! until I noticed one day the whole bolts where elongated almost 25%, very close to the breaking point. Could have been very bad if that snapped at speed. Moral of the story? Consider stength of materials when modifing structural or safety components. Failures usually happen instantaneously |
