right where the clutch cable goes into the tran case theres an O-ring that is suppost to stop oil from leaking out. but ive gone through 2 clutch cables and 2 O-rings and she wont stop leaking. whats the next step?? has anyone else have this problem?? |

Make sure the place where the "O" ring goes is clean and free of what ever ... "i" also use as a MAKE SURE it does not leak by applying a little "SEAL-ALL" glue ... This stuff is good for fuel line fittings, certain gasket applications, in place of safety wire(certain applications), pluming and a lot of other applications that you will discover as you start using it ... You can get it at "Mom & Pop" hardware stores ... MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!! |

if the metal cable cover is compromised, the oil will leak because it is outboard of the seal. knowledge vault search will find thread with pic |

I put about eight inches of shrink-tubing with a little silicon seal in it over the lower end of my clutch cables, then shrink it up. Seals the bottom end of the cable real well. rt |
