Does anyone out there have a spare venturi ring they would sell me? I'm trying to buy one at the dealer but have been told they're obsolete. |

You need to find a good parts person that can find one for a sportster. I'm sure they are still available from the dealer. Probably just a different part number. |

Depending on what kind of intake you've got this might be of interest: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5637.html |

Actually, I have an amazing parts person with easily 30 years experience working at one of Canada's oldest Harley dealers. Rarely does he ever need to open a parts book. If he says that there are none, I believe him. This is a dealer who believes that you can't sell it if it's not in stock. They even maintain a supply of parts for the old Aermacchi Harleys. I have complete faith in him. |

Depending on what kind of intake you've got this might be of interest: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5637.html Not sure if that's an alternative. I'm just trying to do the stock airbox mod shown in the X1 Files site. |

Got a venturi ring for you, we're talking about the plastic $1.95 part, right? I've got one of those tall air stacks from A.S.B. and it fits inside my stock airbox, tight - but it fits, when the weather turns I'll probably put the stock airbox back on so I can ride in foul weather. Sorry for the wait. PM me your address and I'll drop it in the mail tomorrow. |

Sooo... the wife dropped it off Saturday morning and got it on it's way. Global priority or some such thing, funny though, they quoted her 8-10 days. I'm hoping they get it to you a lot quicker than that and maybe she was throwing out a generic number for international shipping. |

I think your parts guy is mistaken. I think he may need to open the book again, lol. From the Buell Pro Series Air Cleaner parts list found here: http://clbres.servhome.org/dl_buell/91420-99Y.pdf You will find part number 29179-88 And on a pretty up to date HD dealers online store, you can buy them for $0.76. http://www.lshd1.com/servlet/Detail?no=430786 So I'm pretty sure they are still in stock.
