Butch - thanks. You have great taste in colors My bike, a '95, was outfitted by the first owner with T fittings in '97. I bought it with the wide lids, and found a set of narrow ones soon after buying the bike. The wides are on in the pics, obviously. If you look closely you can see the brace I added that runs to the passenger peg mount. There's an additional twist-pin / dzus fastener thru the bottom of the bag that goes to the new brace. It makes a HUGE difference in bag-wag, especially with the big lids on. Angelo - gorgeous bike. My S1W has given me a soft spot for Ice White Pearl |

Butch - my bags have a second tether on them. The little cable that holds the lid when they're open? I put one across the top outside, so when they're closed, the cords hold 'em whether the latches do or not. You can sorta see one end of 'em in the pic. The end that the cable stays on, is on the back of the bag by the fender. One end will pop off the little bobbin-shaped nut - that end goes to the lid. Simple, clean looking...OEM parts in a non-OEM location. Erik got a kick out of 'em |

I can tell you that when I was following Joe this weekend that his bags did not move or shake like mine do. That extra brace works very well. |

Starin' at my bike's butt, eh Frank? Good to know though. I'd inferred (from the seat) that they were more stable just because I didn't have any airframe wag anymore...glad to hear it's visually confirmed. Not bad for some bar stock, a pair of FLH saddlebag fastener kits, and some black rattlecan paint! |

Butch, the 96 S2-T looks great. I assume these pics were after the little mishap and you have already repaired everything. |

Pics are yesterday Frank.I,ve had real good luck in touch-up with this red base-coat which is a dead match!Found that rubbing out old miss-match with mettle polish then apply base coat works very nicely!+ sanding bad spots on lids from accident. But will paint lids in next few weeks. And just finished Hank B (keep em closed) lid latches,+ very satisfied! Also new stater, crank seal, output trans seal, rear valve cover gaskets.122,500 strong un-rebuilt miles!Frank really enjoyed and learnt from Round-up in the Rockies! K Model, 1952 through 1956, one needs to see the engine number on the L side of the cases to know year and model. Elvis had a KHK, 883cc w/decent cams. |
