Found a local 1998 S1 for sale. Guy is trying to dump it, pretty sure it runs and all but need some work as all tubers do.

Now it comes down to me finding $1500 worth of stuff to sell...If I can find it that is.

So be on the lookout in the future for stuff I might be selling...just a warning for ya..hehe

LOL um..Ok, you can have it for that as it sits...frame only. Ha!

Looks like I can get rid of 2 sets of S1 saddlebags and a set of M2 bags...not cheap though!

Wilson, you have become a victim of tuber lust and are losing focus (I know 'cause I got it myself!). Get the info to someone that can use it and get yer #1 baby back on the road!

I can help you SAVE $1500! Well at least in retrospect. DON'T buy 10 exhaust systems for one bike, DON'T buy 10 sets of saddlebags for one bike, DON'T buy 10 of EVERYTHING for one bike and I bet you have your $1500 right there.

nutz,

keep on 'losing focus'

I, for 1, appreciate your parts hoarding-

because it'll simplify my M2 parts shopping, once you begin to unload all those soon-to-be-surplus parts!

I'm guessing Bhillberg lost out on a buy..... I'm busy trying to figure out if I've got $1500 in parts laying around!

In reality, it's not going to happen here...

Now that you mention it that is a fine looking M2L in your profile. I might be interested in something in the exhaust department that will work on my X1. Or a set of rearsets.

LOL...I might resort to selling off my PS3, XBox, one of my 5 LCD's or something...who knows.

I want the damn thing. I WANT IT BAD

Exhausts, not selling...(Maybe one set but it'll go to ebay for the monies) But I've worked to hard to acquire the collection I have so far.
Seats, not selling...
Saddlebags, maybe one M2 and one S1 set...
I might have a set of M2 plastics to sell...
Rearsets, not selling...(plus they wouldn't fit an X1)
I have a couple of X1 parts books for 2000-2001 that I have new that I have no use for (I thought my buddy here who has an 01 didn't have one so I picked them up).

I've got tons of shit, thankfully almost everything for the M2 has been paid for except for some tools and odds and ends. I can start assembly really soon.

Have all the X1 books I need along with enough LCD's and I got rid of my PS3. Guess I'm not contributing to the S1 fund.

I'm guessing Bhillberg lost out on a buy

In all honesty I don't think I have lost out on a buy to him. I almost deleted my text because after I posted it I thought it was too sarcastic. I don't want to become one of the jerks on here that just pops in and degrades people. I DO however think that it's wrong to buy a bunch of stuff off of here, supposedly a site to help everybody with Buells out and then turn around and sell them for higher prices, or on ebay. I know, it is capitalism and all that I just don't agree with it here. I am not saying or accusing because I have no way of knowing if this is the planned course of action but judging from
Exhausts, not selling...(Maybe one set but it'll go to ebay for the monies)I do believe a lot of the stuff will end up in this category. Like I said, I don't intend to start an argument, I have stated my opinion and everyone else can disagree.

I've spent a small amount of time at Brinley's House of Buell. I don't think capitalism is at work, here. Heck, he tossed me a Buell thumb drive that I'd have paid dearly for. I think it's more of lots of options out there, and not knowing which route is really the best. Just my opinion as well. I could've/should've phrased my post better.

I never said I bought the exhaust here.

What happens when you assume??

By the way, wait until someone chimes in that has been here to my place and seen it all, Neil, Roger, Ian??? I'm pretty sure they'll tell you that I have an ungodly amount of parts.

Oh, and when I do sell something, I don't tend to sell for more than what I paid when I buy from here. Everyone that's bought from me has gotten great deals, it's called paying it back.

I haven't said I was going to sell all this stuff anyways.

I have bought TONS on ebay...So I paid my price there too. So, don't assume that I buy everything here. For example, how about a $430 set of saddlebags for the wrong bike? Yeah, I bought those once...Needed them for my first homecoming and didn't know what they were worth at the time, silly me.

So, please tell me where I said I was going to sell anything besides one exhaust on ebay (which I may or may not do), and for the sake of arguement, more than what I paid.

Yes, I took offense to that.

Just for that, I'm gonna go turn a wrench.

I've never made money on any motorcycle anywhere. I'm not sure I think it's possible, but tell me about this here Ebay thing. It sounds p-r-e-t-t-y s-w-e-e-t.

I don't know you, you don't know me. I came up with a theory off of the fact that you DO obviously have more parts than you could ever use. I value this website and hate bickering on it. I will offer you a sincere apology if your motives are not what I thought they were and exit stage left.

eBay is no guarantee you will make money. I have listed a few expensive guitars on eBay and on Craigs List, but unless you find just the right buyer who knows what something is worth or what something is worth to them, people will try to low ball you all the time. I just sold a Chin fairing and a front fender to King_of_kali for $85. Not a bad price but after paying shipping costs of $36 that left me with $50. Not much for these parts in great shape but that's ok, because they went to someone who is going to use them instead of them sitting around in my garage collecting dust. And if people do buy things cheap from brother Buellers and turn around and sell them for more, then word eventually gets out and they find they get less and less business. You cannot blame someone for taking advantage of an opportunity (it's human nature). What you can do is take your business elsewhere.

I go to ebay when I need the money, and know I will get nothing but lowballs here.

Otherwise I pay it back here.

But you weren't getting at what I was saying by any means, apology accepted sir.

I understand what you are saying. What I'm curious about though is the fact that you have all these toy's around (I do too) but yet you don't have $1500 liquid for an S1 emergency?!?
