My new (to me) 1997 M2 Cyclone picked this bike up for what i feel was a deal that could not be passed on. I got the bike for $1,300. I'm thinking of painting the plastics orange? yellow? Oh and of course doing something about that air cleaner Blah!

Bobklaus: My first BUELL was a 1997 S3T and "i" still have it ... It only has a 108,062 74 miles on it as of the last ride ... How about a picture of the MUFFLER and FRONT BRAKE ROTOR ... MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!! |

Wow, if it runs at all, that's a screaming deal. Suggest don't repaint, until you go through all the other stuff, rocker box gaskets, intake seals, brake line flush, change oil, check Primary chain, etc. Air cleaner is easy fix. I like Forcewinder, got mine for about $75 on eBay, but lots of choices, some cheaper. |

Interesting... I would rather have the back half of the fender than the front half. No worries... They go cheap on eBay. |

That's a fabulous bike and I'll bet you really enjoy it. If you do get rid of the air cleaner, I'd like to get the cover. I have an entire HVPS here with the exception of the "breadbox". Court |

Nice Buy!!! They are fun! Don't worry about the breadbox too much, they are ugly but they work well. |

x2 on making her mechanically sounds first. I love my 98 M2 even with the smaller tank and seat. I love the more streamlined design. |

Wow, I didn't even notice that the front brakeline is rubber. Changing it to braided stainless steel (teflon lined) is an easy front brake improvement. Changing the back is a good investment too, in my book. Also, changing them will make you flush out the old and put in some new fluid. Also the break lever looks like it's kissed the earth, the "feel" of the front brake might be much better with a replacement on that. I agree with Mstatz, yellow is the fastest color, something to do with the light spectrum. The yellow S1 that came out was what got me dreaming of a Buell, so long ago. Took me about 10 years to acquire one. |
