about one out of 10 starts the starter slams/grinds and its like the battery won turn it over, so i release the button and hit it again it pops right off??? WTH??? |

mine was doing that and it was a weak battery that led me to the starter switch itself. It was all crusty and contacts were corroded. probably from washing it, So i cleaned it up and no problems since. Note: i am still running the factory battery from 01 |

Dielectric grease on every electrical connection you can get your hands on! You'll never have to worry about corrosion causing strange problems again. |

BUELLers: You should check the tightness of you battery terminals as part of your PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM as they will get loose ... MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!! |
