I've been looking for an M2 for a while now and finally found one that was close by. It's a 2001 M2L model with 6800 miles on it. Molten orange paint. Are there any weird issues with the 2001s? I took it for a short ride Sunday and it seems to be in really nice shape and not molested. It might be jetted a tad rich, but no weird noises or vibrations. It did seem a little tough to change directions on, but that might be from being used to riding dirt bikes the last few years. I was thinking the tires might have been a little low, or the neck bearings were too tight. Any words on wisdom? (Message edited by serpa on June 30, 2009) |

Pretty much all of the problems that came from the factory were all replaced by 2000. I know cuz I have a 2000 and have enjoyed 50k almost trouble free miles out of mine and still love it like I did when I first Bought it new. Great Bike, Fun to ride and even the Chicks dig it! It's kind of cool nine years later people come up to me and say "Cool! Nice Bike!" You won't regret! |

You're probably right, just needs air. Tires low and then maybe, possibly the neck. |
