The bolt spacing on the tube frame Buell front calipers is the same as the '84-'99 Harleys. I wonder if this means that the 6-piston Thunderheart caliper I picked up for my dad's FXD will fit on my S2? I didn't have time to take the old caliper off and try, but I did measure the holes spacing and it is the same... (Message edited by Phelan on June 29, 2009) |

diameter of rotor and alignment of rotor and caliper would be the next things to measure... there only one way to find out. |

would be nice to find a caliper that is a bolt-on fit with the brembo rotor. (10mm smaller diameter than stock) Yeah I know - custom caliper mount. But a bolt on caliper would be so much easier, and IMO would make the install look a lot cleaner with fewer necessary parts. |
