I was looking at a website yesterday, and seen a piece where it was talking about the throttle body on an X1. It said that this guys garage/shop, that 3 out of 4 X1's they see, on the throttle body one of the vaccum lines on the bottom of it would be unhooked or unplugged. They said that when the vaccum line is unplugged that the bike cant and wont run properly. They then stated that when they would see a bike with that problem they would put a cap on the vaccum line and that would fix the problem. So I got out my service manual, and looked at everything there was about the throttle body. I was unable to find anything called a vaccum line anywhere. So if anyone has any thoughts on this, please let me know. The site I was looking at was Revolution Engines or something, they are a sponsor here I think. So let me know what everyone thinks, I really appreciate it, Matt Tully |

The vacuum nipple is for the carbon canister on California models. |

I'll post a pic and show you the location. That comment was probably from me.Got 3 X-1's here now and at least one came in with that unplugged. Non CA models would have had a rubber vacuum cap on it and when they get old they can fall off. |

firemanjim, I have another question if you dont mind. I have the 01' X1, and before I bought it someone had put a powercommander III on it. It looks like they just spliced everything together and hooked it up that way. To me it looks like I will need to go back to a 1 wire 02 sensor from the 4 wire that they put on it. I havent seen how they hooked up the injectors yet. So I guess I want to know how to hook the injectors back up stock. Well all of it back up stock. Please help, my bike doesnt run right, thanks for all that you can give me, Matthew Tully |

Look to your other post for the answer to that question. The PC harness runs up to the injectors and plugs in line with the factory wiring, simply unplug both, remove PC wiring, replug factory plugs. |

The little right angle thingy is the canister port. This is an intake assembly. |

The pic looks like mine. He has the assembly slightly rotated. That vacuum nipple is on the bottom facing out the same direction as the intake tube. Mine was also open and I had strange idle and low rpm problems until I plugged it. JB weld was the only thing that would not pop off or crack for me. |

the black thing at the top is an injector. you have 2 of them. right now your pc plugs into them and into the wires that are supposed to be there. remove pc, put wires back where they belong. |
