I need some help here I am have a 98 s1w long tail section that I am using to replace one of the shorter style tail. I am having some seat issues and I need to know what model seats can be used with that tail section. Also if anyone has one stock or other wise I am looking buy one. Let me know any information you may have. |

well the stock seat doesn't work with the two up tail section, you need the two up seat iirc. |

I got that the seat does not work with the longer tail section. But what I am trying to find is what stock or aftermarket seats work with the two up tail section. |

I think the Euro seat is the one you're looking for. Get ahold of RatBuell, I think he can help. But, other than that, maybe a Corbin? Buell had a Custom Select Solo seat for the S1, but that's for the single tail. |

I like the Corbin on mine - little lacking on padding but plenty wide. You might need to get some bars with a bit more pull back, though, as the bucket is a ways from the tank. |

Euro is the solo, no-strap, flat (no rider "scoop-out") seat. It was stock on the S1W, which was a solo bike from the factory IIRC. The only seat that will fit a twintail (that's the name of the 2-up S1 tail, BTW) is a stock twintail seat, or a Corbin made for a twintail. I have a twintail set if you'd like a pic of the twintail seat. And the reason I say the S1W was only a solo bike is, even though my twintail is colormatched from the factory...it says "S1 Lightning", not "S1 WHITE Lightning" like my solo tail. Looking in old P&A catalogs, it appears all the twintails say S1, not S1W. |

Hey thanks rat if you could send or post the pic that would be great so I can get a good idea of what I need. Also I am looking to see if anyone has that they may be willing to part with. Right now I looked at a new Corbin and they are like 435 or so, and for that much I will go by a solo tail and use the Corbin I have for it that would be cheaper. I am not looking for a S1W specific seat just one that will fit correctly on the twin tail stock or otherwise. Are there any other Buell models seats that will fit the twin tail? M2 S3 ect?? |

While Brin and Rat are technically correct in saying that only a twin tail seat fits the twin tail section, you CAN use your solo corbin or stock solo seat on the twin tail section. I hated the factory twin seat on my '98 S1, so I used the solo S1W seat on it until I found a Corbin seat. It looks a bit funny, but it feels SO MUCH BETTER than the stock twin seat. |

I think the top one is the optional (accessory, not factory standard) twintail seat and tail. Stock Euro seat and solo tail are below: |
