So how many of you do the 10,000 mile maintenance on your M2's and S3's? I have been away from this forum for quite a while and am wondering if some new techniques have been developed. I have done the maintenance on my M2 once and just finished my S3T. The M2 is now at 22,000 miles and needs it again. It is a lot of work, at least the way I do it. I follow the "American Thunderbike" isolator change method where I unbolt and remove the entire swing arm and carrier assembly. I was talking with the Eastgate HD/Buell (near Cincinnati) Service Manager Lonnie and asked what they charge to do the swingarm maintenance and how they do it. He said about 3 hours and $300 using the service manual method of a hoist and frame spreader. Are any of you doing something else? Thanks, Mark '00 M2 '01 S3T |
