I've had my bike, my perfectly fine running bike, for a month now. Today I caught myself looking at ported heads and 1250 kits, dyno charts, etc... |

Ya, we understand. your hatred is misdirected though. It should be directed at the guys who make the parts. Horsepower is addictive fosho! |

Low - You haven't even ridden the bike enough to make a decision yet. Instead of sitting around and looking for parts. Get out there and ride! Ride it till it dies then do a rebuild. There's a saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it!" |

Yeah, what Td said. Mine had a little over 23k on the clock and chewed up the crank pin. It was on like Donkey Kong after that Can't wait to get into it tomorrow if the gaskets get here. |

I may be the lucky one here...I still have ways to go to fully outgrow my x1 as is. My "wants" are more cosmetic like Forcewinder, etc. |

Ohhh, it's on now. Got a big 'ol package from Joann today with bunches of gaskets and a ECMSPY cable. I'll stop by the store on the way home and pick up some midnight oil to burn. I may have to go to the Battery show on Saturday night. Anyone heard of them? They're a pretty good Metallica tribute band, I've been to one of their shows before in the late '90's and they were pretty good then. |

Yes i am not doing the work on my re-build as i have a cheap socket set and 1 set of t-handle Allen wrenches, I got no tools. I could not justify buying all the tools to do my own work, I just usually use my mechanics tools at the shop. I have however done the head install and removal of the front head and the intake seals a couple of times it wasn't so bad. |

I just did all the engine work on mine with a $200 toolset, plus approximately $100 worth of odd tools that were needed such as sockets to pull the primary sprockets, clutch spring compressor, primary locking bar, etc.. Plus when I break shit, it gets replaced for free Oh, and the tools are made in good ole' USA. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_009342600 00P?mv=rr#descriptionAnchor |
