Sorry for my ignorance, but I couldn't find a comprehensive answer to my questions with the search function... I am lusting after tubers again I love having the fuel injection on my XB. I am looking for an S1 or X1- which ones had fuel injection? What years/models do I need to stick to in order to get fuel injection? |

Just make sure the manifold o-rings are serviced and in good shape. |

Cool, so is that the only tube frame model that got it- all S1s are carb'd? |

Yes, all S1's are carbed. Last S1 model year was 98. |

I think the fuel injection systems are quite a bit different between the tubers and the XB's. I didn't like the fact that when my bike was cold it wouldn't raise the RPM's to help it run, without me fiddling with the throttle. |

Yeah they are quite different. I grew up building carb'd Chevy motors and always swore by the good ol carb. But these days I have a very good understanding of fuel injection systems and how to tune them- between the tweaking I've done on my truck, my XB and building an LT1 for my dad's Nova with a completely custom install, harness and computer. I swear by the injection systems for tweakability, reliability and tuning these days! I realize now that I only feared what I did not know. |

I'm with ya' there. When I got my bike in '00 as a '99 left over the fuel injection wasn't even a consideration, I could take it or leave it but after having it so long I don't know if I could go back to a carb. |
