Kinda took all day. I had to make a trip to harbor freight for a rear wheel stand and an extractor kit, and also a trip to the hardware store for stainless hardware to replace the stock stuff I took off. All in all, the job went well (HUGE thanks to the x1 files website and this board). Aside from the stripped allen screw from the previous owner which set me back a bit, everything went cool. I figure while I have the muffler off and such, now is a good time to get that exhaust bracket converted over too. I might also go ahead and change the exhaust gaskets if I fell up to it tomorrow. The chin spoiler is not going back on. |

Put the exhaust gaskets in the freezer for a few hours. It will shrink them enough to get them into the heads. Make sure not to over torque the exhaust nuts. 8ftlbs only! Other wise you will be dealing with broken exhaust studs. |

Don't forget to pluck, and pull your old gaskets out they are a soft mesh metal style so get a little 90 degree angle pick and pull those suckers out. |
